1966 Show

This was one of the first shows as the organized group we now call the Cedar Valley Engine Club.  This show was held at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds in Osage, Iowa.  Collecting and displaying relics of the past was a fairly new concept.  The Blackhawk Collectors had been having a roving show for quite a few years by this time.  This Engine Club was in its fledgling stages.  It still didn't have a place to call home.  So the members continued the notion of having shows in different locations for a while longer.  Some of the items showed at the first shows are still around but many have found new homes and migrated away from the area to other collections.
